The intersection of graphics and technology. Trained as a visual artist, but with a track record of two decades of helping people understand and effectively employ new net- and personal computer-driven technology, primarily in the domain of graphics and publishing.

• Co-founded and developed the i/us graphics site, building it into one of the most visited and linked-to sites for the graphics community. Sold to Getty Images.
• Managed the design, creation, deployment and user support of Cold Fusion-driven Web applications for the i/us site, including the sophisticated JumpList Web links management app, launched in 1998.
• Founded CorelNET.com in 1995, the first community-driven site for graphics creators.
• Wrote the first book dedicated to CorelDRAW (Mastering CorelDRAW, Peachpit Press), followed by three more.
• Founded and published the only independent publication devoted to CorelDRAW (Mastering CorelDRAW Journal). Sold to Ziff-Davis.

09-11		Celebrating my 10th year as Founder and Editor of Graphics.com, now owned by WebMediaBrands, Inc. Conceive and manage design contests on Graphics.com based on the use of stock images: the Dreamstime Challenge, the 123RF.com Challenge, the DepositPhotos.com Challenge and the Graphics.com Challenge.
2008		Blogging on design topics for the blurb, Photos.com's blog. Conceived and managed design contests on Graphics.com: the Stock Photo Challenge, the Design Brief, the Identity Challenge and the Philter Phrenzy.
04-07		Editor of the Graphics.com site. Blogging on graphics and publishing topics for the Graphic Design Forum. Writing, illustrating and producing weekly and monthly newsletters for such Jupiterimages sites as Graphics.com, Photos.com, Clipart.com, liquidlibrary and the Jupiterimages Affiliate program. Total monthly circulation: over 750,000.
02-03		Continuing role as Editor of Graphics.com and consultant to ArtToday on their subscription graphics sites.
2002		Sold GraphicsNews.com to ArtToday, Inc. and relaunched it as Graphics.com. Participated in launch of Photos.com.
2001		Launched GraphicsNews.com, a reference site for news in the graphics world. It used an open source-based content management system that was a precursor to blogs as we now know them.
00-01		Editor in Chief of the i/us (i-us.com) graphics site, after I sold it to Getty Images.
97-00		Co-founder of i/us Corp. As Editor in Chief, responsible for all content, community and technical aspects of the i/us site.
95-97		Founder and director of the CorelNET.com site, built and maintained on contract for Corel Corp. Responsible for all editorial and technical aspects of the site.
93-96		Founder, publisher and Editor in Chief of the Mastering CorelDRAW Journal.
90-94		Wrote four books devoted to CorelDRAW, the last two using teams of globally-distributed writers. Contributed to and edited other graphics and publishing books (eg: technical editor for Understanding Desktop Color, Random House; contributor to ScanJet Unlimited, Peachpit, etc.).
89-92		Editor in Chief of Electronic Composition & Imaging, Canada's leading graphics and publishing magazine.
87-95		Senior Trainer for Desktop Publishing Associates (PageMaker, CorelDRAW).
87-96		Freelance contributor/columnist for US and Canadian publications, covering graphics and design. (eg: columnist for Corel Magazine).
83-87		Freelance contributor/columnist covering the emerging personal computer revolution. Windows has been a specialty since 1987.
